摘要：The 2008 edition of the Digest of United Kingdom Energy Statistics (DUKES) (available at www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/energy/statistics/publications/dukes/page45537.html) included a map of the European Gas Transport System for 2006. The map resulted from an exercise to reconstruct physical gas flow data at the European level using published International Energy Agency (IEA) data and was prepared as part of BERR’s contribution to a Eurostat project to improve gas data transparency and quality. This article is based upon an update of this map using 2007 data (see page 53) and highlights patterns in European gas production and consumption, and looks at how European demand is currently met. Note that volumes of natural gas used throughout this article will not be in direct proportion to the energy values derived.
