摘要：In this paper, we study a generalization of the Xcast protocol. After having introduced both Xcast and Xcast+ protocols, their advantages and drawbacks, we present our protocol Gxcast: the GXcast packet format and the forwarding algorithm. The scalability of the GXcast protocol is compared to the scalability of other multicast protocols. We propose a function that allow to reduce the drawbacks of this kind of protocols and we evaluate the GXcast protocol in terms of overhead and delay. The simulation results confirm our analysis.
