摘要:Is there scope or need for national economic
and social policies in today¡¯s
global economy? Many commentators have
argued national economies have disappeared,
with their former powers and functions
being usurped from the one side by
the global economy and from the other side
by cities and regions. Thus Kenichi Ohmae
(1995) treats regional economies and multinational
firms as the chief building blocks
of the modern global economy. If this is
true, then we would expect to find that national
borders no longer mark separations
in economic space.
