摘要:More than two decades ago, The Fraser Institute began a
series of conferences that focused on defining and measuring
economic freedom for a large number of countries.
Milton and Rose Friedman and Michael Walker spearheaded
the project that led to the publication of Economic
Freedom of the World, 1975–1995. Eleven years have now
passed since the publication of the initial report but the
objective remains the same: the measurement of economic
freedom in an accurate, comprehensive, and objective
manner. The report is now published annually by a network
of institutes in more than 70 countries.
