摘要：The National Conference is the centrepiece of the IPAA
calendar each year. The 2006 National Conference was,
even so, one of special significance. For the first time
in nearly half a century the conference was held in a
major regional centre, Alice Springs, in the Northern
Territory. All previous conferences have been located
in capital cities. The decision to meet in Alice Springs
was a resounding success. The event attracted 387
participants, 15 percent of whom were IPAA Young
Professionals.
