摘要：Th e ‘European Innovation Scoreboard 2005’(EIS),1
published in January 2006, shows major disparities
between countries. Most of the new Member States
are in the process of catching up, but at a rate that
does not augur well for short-term convergence
within the EU. Also, if present trends continue,
there will be no narrowing of the innovation gap
between Europe and the USA.
