摘要:One of the most frequent criticisms of
British business is that it is too insular,
staunchly refusing to explore and exploit
opportunities in the rest of Europe. For
years, the UK e-learning industry has faced
competition from US-based firms, chiefly
in the ¡®systems¡¯ sector: learning
management (for example SumTotal
Systems, as well as the Canadian firm VTN),
learning content management (such as
EeDo) and talent management (Plateau).
However competition from Continental
companies in the UK has tended to be
sparse with the exception of Italy¡¯s Giunti
Labs in the LCMS sector ¨C and UK
e-learning developers have also been wary
of crossing the Channel.
