标题：AN ESSAY STUDY OF DOCUMENTARY AND CLASSIFICATION ON THE TIME ADVERBIALS IN TURKISH / TÜRKÇEDEKĐ ZAMAN BELĐRTEÇLERĐNĐN SINIFLAMASI ve DÖKÜMÜ ÜZERĐNE BĐR DENEME ÇALISMASI
摘要：In the study, the classification of the time adverbialsbased on Smith’s (1991) theory has been tried to be applied.Turkish Language Association’s Turkish Dictionary (2007) has been chosen as the fundamental database. Moreover, the PhDstudy of Özkan (2007) named Türkiye Türkçesinde BelirteçlerinFiillerle Birlikte Kullanımları ve Esdizimliliği has also beenused. In the mentioned study, 306 texts have been searchedand the adverbials in these texts have been taken in theiroriginal forms/sentences. In this way, the context used in theclassification on the time adverbials is at the level of thesentence in their original forms. The basic determinant aboutpreferring the mentioned databases is that they give theadverbials in their original sentences in a more understandablecontext. From the adverbials taken from the databases, onlythe time adverbials have been chosen and these adverbialshave been placed on the classification of Smith’s (1991) theory.As a result of the descriptions of the time adverbials’classification, the relationship between the aspect/tensesystems of Turkish and the time adverbials in Turkish havebeen tried to be found out. According to the mentionedclassification, there seems to be a strong relationship betweenaspect/tense systems of Turkish and the classification of thetime adverbials based on Smith’s (1991) theory.
