摘要：We learn from the Turkish language’s oldest texts that hunting has done for feeding and as a sport from the oldest times of Turkish history.We can follow the marks of social life, culture and conception of the world from Divan-ı Lügati’t Türk, which is Kaşgarlı Mahmut’s work of art and collecting words of Turkish geography and Turkish culture in adition to be occured in Turkish language’s Karahanlı branch. İn this written work as a reflection of common culture and social life, we see words and idioms about hunting, cattle dealing and religion which are effective in that period of Turk’s economic and social life.We see that while a part of his words was used for pets, the other part is used for wild animals. The existence of animals which haven’t got any importance both economically ana as a nutrient for human life shows that Kaşgarlı Mahmut and Turkish community comprehended the world and life as a whole and applied it to their daily life.
