摘要：In this article, an emphasis will be laid on thespelling of a few words which are mentioned in the oldTurkic inscriptions and regarded as not Turkish.Considering the spelling of these words intoconsideration, whether the unity of the spelling of foreignwords mentioned in the texts with Arabic letters are alsoa fact for the texts with Kök Turk letters will bediscussed. After the analysis on the spelling of foreignwords, with regard to the general spelling rules, anemphasis will be given on the spelling problems in oldTurkic inscriptions and an opinion will be stated whetherthese are based on dialectic reasons or based completelyon mistakes resulted from the negligence of the writer.
