  • 摘要:The “Foreign Workforce Aquisition Agreement”signed with the FR of Germany in 1961 unleashed a waveof emigration from Turkey to FR of Gemany and carried ahost of related issues into our country’s agenda. Turkishcontemporary writers as part of the society could notremain indifferent and have analyzed these issues fromdifferent perspectives in their works. One of thesecontemporary authors is Gulten Dayioglu. She focuses onemigration issues in her works with its dimensions of“the ones who leave”, “the remaining ones” and “the oneswho return” and she has a distinguished place in ourliterature with her works filled with striking examplesconcerning emigration. She examines the emigrationissues in her works “The remaining ones and the oneswho return” from the perspectives of living quarters, education, divided families, youth-childhood, workingconditions, disparagement, and homesickness. In her novel titled “Yurdumu Özledim” GultenDayioglu exposes the children’s perspective of theemigration issue as she attempts to analyze thechildrens’ perspective of emigration problems through hercharacter “Atil” ’s viewpoint.
