摘要:Wage inequality in the Netherlands has increased over the last
twenty years. Although the increase has not been so severe as
that in Anglo Saxon countries, it was more than in most other
continental European countries. Both observed and unobserved
characteristics contributed to this. In the 80¡¯s, especially
the wages at the bottom of the wage distribution
dropped significantly. In the 90¡¯s, the wages at the upper
quartile increased. Although wage inequality increased, the
education premium did not change considerably. Also, the
wage differential between men and women remained fairly
constant.
