摘要:A review of the institutional design of the Dutch social housing
sector suggests that the effectiveness and efficiency of this
sector can be improved. We consider two options to do so:
(1) the introduction of additional incentives for efficiency in
the current institutional setting or (2) liberalisation of the
social housing sector. Our findings suggest that the social
costs of liberalisation of the social housing sector are likely to
be small, given the already extensive rules and regulations
that are in place in the Dutch housing market.
