摘要：CPB has recently published a new book on its applied general
equilibrium model MIMIC. This book, entitled ¡°MIMICing Tax
Policies and the Labour Market¡±, improves the previous version of
the model in several important respects. For example, the labour
supply block of the model now does more justice to the empirical
distribution of working hours. The new model also describes the
informal sector, and explains in more detail the composition of
the population with respect to household types. In addition, the
new model includes a schooling decision and distinguishes
between the short-term and long-term unemployed¡ª a distinction
that is relevant in the analysis of policy measures that target
the long-term unemployed.
