摘要：India is making sound progress on poverty elimination for those who can
work. India has experienced a substantial reduction in the headcount of the poor in the
period after 1993. In years to come, it is likely that Indian GDP growth, and hence rising
wages, will lead to the elimination of poverty among people in their working years.
