摘要：The evolution of employment in Spain, for the period 1975-2004, is analysed and econometric models of employment are estimated under three theoretical approaches: 1)Productivity equation, 2)Production Function and 3)profit target model with under-utilization of the stock of capital due to restrictions from other factors. The third approach gives the best results to explain the evolution of employment in Spain for that period. Some policy recommendations follow to get higher rates of employment compatible with increases in real wages.
