摘要:This essay discusses the theological points of view of several authors of common 20th century textbooks as regards the inspired status of the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament. Three basic attitudes towards the inspiration of the Bible of the Seventy (LXX) come into view: some theologians simply gloss over the whole question in utter silence; others categorically deny this inspired status; still others deem it possible, proceeding however with extreme caution. It is shown that many of these writers reason according to a certain paradigm which views the relationship between the Hebrew and Greek text in terms of 搒uperiority ?inferiority? Modern biblical scholarship, however, has revealed that this paradigm no longer holds.
