摘要：Chapter 9 of the Letter to the Romans is one of the most difficult texts of the New Testament. Its message regarding electio and rejection could be misunderstood as suggesting predestination. This was the mistake of the gnostics. Origen opposed this group attending to offer an ortodox exegesis of the chapter, for first time in De principiis and later in Commentarium in epistulam ad Romanos. This article compares these two origenian works, highlighting continuity and evolution in Origen抯 thought.
