  • 摘要:Burnout can be defined as; the state of physical and emotional depletion resulting from conditions of work. It is emphasized emotional exhaustion as the result of prolonged overwork and overextension. Burnout includes three unique symptoms considered to be the result of burnout: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment.Burnout syndrome is being observed in many fields today. Burnout is seen more commonly in people who work in the service sector and particularly in those who deal with people. Burnout leads to physical and emotional problems in individuals. These are also reflected in their behaviors and interfere with their ability to do their jobs and provide service completely. As a result the individual can also give harm other people.The aim of this study was to discover what level of burnout of nurses, worked in Social Insurance Hospital (Denizli Servergazi Hospital) in Denizli. In this study the Maslach Burnout Inventory was used with nurses who provide care to patients at Denizli Social Insurance Hospital. It was seen that as age increased, emotional burnout and depersonalization decreased; as years of employment increased, burnout was experienced less according to the emotional burnout and depersonalization subscales; those living in nuclear families and those with one child experienced more depersonalization.In addition it was determined that those who work in intensive care units and emergency services experienced more emotional burnout and depersonalization and those who thought about changing their profession also experienced emotional burnout and depersonalization. Besides these findings it was also determined that nurses who think their wages are inadequate experience burnout in the depersonalization subscale and nurses who are not able to implement in practice all their knowledge experienced advanced levels of burnout in the personal accomplishment subscale.
