摘要:In this paper we study in depth how technological capabilities allow the firm
to achieve higher differentiation level by means of new products development and to
secure greater efficiency by process innovation. We analyse the relevancy of the joint
effect of technological capabilities and competitive strategies on firm performance. In
addition, we determine the existing differences in the effects of the analysed variables
on profitability and growth. The results show that the firms that have greater technological
capabilities achieve greater performance with the development of marketing
and innovation differentiation. We can conclude that technological capabilities allow
the firm to create new products and reinforce their marketing efforts in order to
differentiate from its competitors.
