摘要:Recent measurements of network traffic have been shown that network traffic is bursting at wide range of time scales. In this paper, we show that subset of network traffic can show characteristics that are consistent with self-similarity. Using a set of simulations we show that traffic is getting bursting when file size distribution is heavy-tailed and we also show that there is a relation between hurst parameter and traffic bursting. When hurst parameter decreases traffic bursty increases gradually. Packet loss rate increases as a result of increasing hurst parameter.
