摘要：The National Parole Board (NPB) has exclusive authority to grant, deny and revoke the
conditional release of persons serving sentences of imprisonment in federal institutions or
provincial jails in provinces that do not have a provincial parole board. It has the power to revoke
the release of any individual who has breached any of the conditions of parole. The NPB also
makes decisions on granting, denying or revoking pardons and investigates and makes
recommendations to the Minister for the exercise of the royal prerogative of mercy.
