This study aimed to investigate the influence that the anxiety could have among the person who is applying to license for driving, as well as verifying in which level it could be a determinative factor to stopping the process. 54 participants of both the sexes, different level of education and various ages answered the Escala de Ansiedade do Inventário de Beck (BAI). The results suggested that the scores of the theoretical test of driving knowledge were associated with the educational level. Otherwise, the practical test for driving was related to the scores of anxiety, suggesting that the anxiety is a important variable for predicting the performance in the driving situation.
