摘要：The present study aims to try to understand K¨¹tahya and its vicinity considered with
its many aspects in Evliya .elebi¡¯s (1611-1682) Seyahatname (Travel Book) which gives
important informations about Anatolia and is our only domestic source regarding a
lot of subjects. The importance of this study results from both K¨¹tahya and its
vicinity¡¯s own special characteristic and Evliya .elebi¡¯s Seyahatname¡¯s own special
consideration way of the aforementioned places like the other subjects, especially its
description way of everyday life, and historical, religious and cultural situation in the
places considered by it. In short, this article¡¯s subject is a reading of K¨¹tahya and its
vicinity with moving from Seyahatname.
