50 patients with vitiligo and 50 with psoriasis were randomly chosen for the present study Results were compared with those from a control group of 50 leprosy patients. Psychologic variables under study were personality traits and psychic stability The overall psychic stability profile of leprosy patients is in correspondence with the hypocondriac status, accompanied by schizoid traits, just like psoriasis patients, while the profile of vitlligo patients is normal. When the overall personality profile of vitiligo and psoriasis patients is compared lo that of leprosy patients, the latter are found to have a different profile, which might be explained by the organogenic character of leprosy.
