This work was carried out in the Science Natural Museum Felipe Poey, directed to the elaboration of a program of Activities for the hall for the children of this institution. The central objective of the appointed program is to construct in the development of the cognoscitive interest in the children who assist the activities of the museum. To verify its effectivity a pedagogic intervention experiment was modelled, in an experimental group, which assisted to the programed activities and a control group, which didn't assist to the same. The psychological test used were: interviews, valuative steps, questionnaire and observations of the activities. For such programmed experiment, a kind of teaching and control jobs was elaborated. The results showed the effectivity of the program of activities for the development of cognoscitive interest, finding diferences between the experimental group and the control group. It was demostrated the necesity in which the museologist should prepare with the objective of winning an adecuate atmosphere of teaching and to develop their functions with efficiency. It was proved as a correct organization and direction of the activities that the cultural institution, with the children, contributing positively to its integral formation.
