摘要：IN 2004 THE COUNCIL was not able to
adopt a final work schedule for 2005, as it
was due to be given an extended working
remit in 2005 and roughly half the
Council¡¯s members would be substituted
on the same occasion. The Council did not
deem it reasonable for the ¡±old¡± council to
prioritize on behalf of the new council the
working assignments to be initiated as part
of an extended mandate. The Council anticipates
that a large part of its and the
secretariat¡¯s resources in 2005 will be spent
on evaluating and deciding which ethical
problems defined as part of its new domains
best lend themselves to being dealt
with by the Council of Ethics.
