摘要：Future detectors will use silicon sensors in the harsh radiation environment
of the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) and high magnetic elds. The drift direction of the
charge carriers is a
ected by the Lorentz force due to the high magnetic eld. Also the
resulting radiation damage changes the properties of the drift. This note describes the
measurements of the Lorentz angle and a simple algorithm to calculate it as function of
bias voltage, magnetic eld and temperature.
