  • 摘要:Pathogens are disease-causing microorganisms that include bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses. Pathogens can cause illness through contaminated food, contaminated water, or person-to-person contact. Most foodborne illnesses typically have a rapid onset and are self-limiting. Common symptoms are gastrointestinal problems and vomiting. Foodborne illnesses range from mild to severe; some of the more severe cases can result in premature death.
