摘要:The Glacial Valleys in the basin of the Doamna River (the F.g.ra. Massif). The glacial
valleys in the F.g.ra. Massif were first fluvial valleys occupied, eroded, enlarged and changed by the
Pleistocene glaciers, so that they turned into spectacular troughs with new characteristics that make them
different, but also integrate them with the fluvial valleys they developed from. This paper deals with the
glacial valleys located in the basin of the Doamna River (southern side of F.g.ra. Massif): classification,
morphometric and morphologic analysis of the long and cross profiles, genesis and evolution conclusions.
The postglacial erosion (periglacial, fluvial, nival) destroyed many glacial microforms in these valleys, but
those that preserved (partially) provide valuable clues on the extent and sizes of the Pleistocene glaciers
(especially moraines and trimlines). In the Pleistocene, there were large valley glaciers (alpine glaciers) in
the basin of the Doamna River. They occupied the origins of all developed pre-glacial valleys located near
the main ridge of the F.g.ra. Massif. These valleys (the Valea Rea, the Bandea, the Zarna, the Leaota, the
Br.tila) belonged to the Rau .es erosion complex, were adapted to structure, antecedent, and reached the
main ridge of the F.g.ra. Massif by regressive erosion. There were 7 major glacial valleys of 2-7 km
length in the basin of the Doamna River. They consisted of 2-3 steps/ basinets separated by glacial
thresholds (of glacio-structural, glacio-lithologic or glacial nature)
