摘要:The Bulgarian Black Sea coast, located between the Bulgarian ¨C Romanian border to the north
and the cape Emine, is characterized by large diversity and specific natural conditions. They are a result both of
the palaeographic evolution of the coast and of the climatic influence of the Black Sea.
Because of these reasons, within the boundaries of the north Black Sea coast, it has been formed a
significant number of natural areas, which are differentiated into protected territories. Such are, for
example, the reserve of Kaliakra, Kamchia, the protected places ¡°Shabla lake¡° (Shablensko ezero),
Yaylata, etc.
The report observes the opportunities for the alternative types of tourism that could develop in the region
and in these protected territories, and especially ecological and scientific-cognitive tourism.
