摘要:As a main life domain (aquatic, terrestrial, and underground), the present paper aims at presenting
especially the aquatic domain, meaning it imposes certain priorities in the study of physical limnology as a
branch of the geographical sciences. The study of wet areas is approached both scientifically and
pragmatically in order to explain its presence and beneficial effects.
It mainly makes reference to the hydrological features, which represent an useful indicator, as the respective
areas are covered by water most of the time, no matter the evolution of the hydrological factor.
After the presentation of the national and international options approached by scientists with regard to wet
areas, there are rendered the ecological implications of the ¡°Lower Danube Green Corridor¡±.
