摘要:The toponyms derived from names of plants and animals are very numerous. There have been
identified over 1,500 such micro toponyms.
The analysed region is rich in toponyms with particularly interesting geographical and linguistic traits. The
gathered toponymic material proves that places names are phyto- and zoo-toponyms (that express mainly the
possession rapport, quality, social status and bio-geographical origin), entopic (alder, elm, linden, common oak,
willow, acacia), which are characterized by metaphoric expressiveness.
