摘要:In this paper, a comparative analysis of the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of one and two dimensional hydrodynamic models to represent the flow over a flood plain traversed by a connecting road, is presented. The application of both methodologies is illustrated through a series of case studies. It is concluded that, even though both methodologies can be used if certain precautions are taken, it is most recommendable to use both of them in combination through a nesting or an integrated approach.
