  • 标题:The interpretation and comparison of simulation of the soil water erosion hazard according to the USLE and USPED models set on an example of Drohiczyn on the Bug vicinity

  • 摘要:The following article has a methodical character. There were made two models of water erosion hazard in three different modifications: surface flow, line flow and in medium conditions. The research area is situated in the east part of Poland and comprises the Bug valley tract with an adjoining morainic plateau in a boundary of Drohiczyn borough. According to physicogeographical division of Poland (Kondracki 2000) this area involves two mesoregions: Wysoczyzna Drohicka and the Podlaski Gorge of the Bug River. The USLE/USPED model was based on the analysis in Map Calculator (Arc View program) using a method of H. Mitasowa (1999) for three different situations depending on the character of the flow. Those situations were gained as a result of change of coefficient ``m'' and ``n'' value. The result of simulations in modifications of three different defined values of parameters ``m'' and ``n'' is a starting point to precise analysis which had been based on interpretation of the transversal profile in gained deterministic model, in the boundaries of chosen drainage catchment of tested area. The analysis of the course of curved line correlated with terrain morphology allowed to show the differentiation of spatial extent of erosion classes depending on topographic area of terrain. However, a comparison of curved line course in three modifications in the model shows the rank of ``m'' and ``n'' factors as a result of final simulations. Synthesis of the analysis results of two executed models unambiguously indicates zones of particular hazard of soil water erosion. Though on the study area, on which sandy materials are mainly deposited, better results in a category of value differentiation of erosion were obtained in USPED model. However, the second model gives an easier interpretation aiming at generalization of erosional evaluation. On account of pretty complicated assumptions of computable and resultant strata, the exertion of featured deterministic models should be supported by the field research which will help to define the character of local conditions of the study area.
