摘要：This MicroBanking Bulletin presents the largest
data set for benchmarking the performance of retail
microfinance institutions (MFIs) ever gathered, and
brings to the industry two improvements over past
industry benchmarks. The number of institutions
participating has increased by more than 100 since
the publication of 2002 benchmarks, thanks to a
growing number of partnerships with local and regional
microfinance associations60 who are working
to bring industry standard reporting and relevant
market information to their respective environments.
In particular, regional coverage of Asia and Africa
has expanded significantly over past issues. In total,
over 230 institutions provided information on
their 2003 financial year performance.
