  • 摘要:The article presents an attempt to assess the usefulness of natural environment of the Łęczna district counties for tourism. In order to estimate the environment, Warszyńska's method (1974) has been used. Six counties, which belong to the Łęczna district, i.e. Cyców, Ludwin, Łęczna, Milejów, Puchaczów and Spiczyn, have undergone the analysis. The analysis also includes the city of Łęczna. In the physic-geographical division (Kondracki, Richling 1994), the analysed area covers the terrains of the Mazowsze-Podlasie Lowlands, i.e. the Lubartów Height, and the Polesie Lowlands, i.e. the Dorochucza Depression, the Łęczna-Włodawa Plain, as well as the uplands of Eastern Poland, i.e. the Świdnik Plateau (Fig. 1). The terrain is shaped by the Upper Cretaceous rocks, which are for the most part covered by quaternary sediments. The most conspicuous element of the analysed areas landscape is the Wieprz river valley, numerous lakes as well as wetlands and peatbogs. In order to evaluate the natural environments values for tourism, three elements have been taken into account: land configuration, water- and wood-covered surfaces. On the basis of the distinction of the features necessary for the quantitive calculation, coefficients of attraction (NH, NW, NL) for those elements have been calculated (Tab. 2, 3, 4). The parameters such as absolute altitude, relative altitude, the area of waters and woods, mean annual flow of the biggest rivers in the county, have been taken into consideration. Then, by means of seasonal criterion and tourism forms, (three tourist seasons have been distinguished: 1) the all year tendency towards recreation, 2) the open-air bathing season, 3) the winter season), the author calculated final coefficients of attraction for particular counties, i.e.: the attraction in the season of general recreation, the attraction in swimming season, the attraction in winter season (Tab. 5).
