摘要：The aim of this paper is to describe the particular implications of two different fieldwork experiences that bring to the foreground the contribution and usefulness of anthropology in the health domain. Because of strong expectations from field interlocutors (anthropological expertises related to suicide prevention and palliative care), the authors adjusted their approach by no longer working only “on” but also “with” actors. With the risk of being exploited by the medical sphere, the researchers’ reflexivity concerning their implication in the field becomes an essential tool for preserving their critical distance. Furthermore, these field experiences offer an opportunity to consider the possibility of creating discursive exchanges with fieldwork interlocutors and promoting social change from the inside.
