    In the economic theory, the food matter is analysed by all the streams separately, in the working of the market, in the formation of the prices, in the way of production and supply. This specific processing of the food matter produce contradictory debates which are at the origin of propositions in economic policy and in food policy in particular, between liberalism and strong interventionism ideology. The actual extension of these periodic debates shows the relevance of the first works of political economy.
