摘要:This article intends to argue about “Grãos de Luz and Griô – Non Governmental Organization (NGO)” educational practices in Lençóis, Bahia State, Brazil. Children, teenagers and young people educational activities focused on African culture were developed at this NGO. These activities were inspired on the ancient tales narrator Griô from Northwest Africa. This qualitative study resorted to observation, documents’ and videotapes’ analysis and interviews to teachers and students. Some results emphasize the invention of the Griô character at the city of Lençois, in the expectation that he can gives contribution to the oral tradition throughout pedagogic practices, as making a Grio´s Pedagogy. In this text I bring to the discussion, the issues relating cultures and environment, as in the past, the NGO used to work with environmental issues during its workshops and educational meetings. I believe that the cultural approach used by the NGO during their workshops and educational meetings, can be seen as an environmental one.
