摘要：‘Europe delivers us an extra month’s
worth of salary’ ran the headline of the
Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad last
year following publication of a CPB study
on the internal market. Fifty years after
the inception of the European Union,
CPB concluded that the internal market
delivers a yearly bonus— a “thirteenth
month” of salary amounting to 1500 to
2200 euro— to each Dutch citizen. The
internal market is thus a big success, but
will it survive the crisis? Or do we run the
risk of losing this bonus pay?
