摘要:Using geomatic methods of spatial analysis and modeling, a research is conducted to assess the importance of the different natural areas (nodes) and the landscape matrix on the connectivity of conservation network in the Basque Country. On the one hand, it is estimated the effective surface of habitat covering the zone where each node is located. On the other, the contribution of every node to the regional connectivity is estimated, integrating the effect of landscape matrix. It is verified that the effective surface of habitat does not explain the relevance of the nodes to support the regional connectivity. This result suggests that certain ecological corridors that have as objective to support the connectivity with nodes of relatively small effective surface might exert a key connector function at regional scale.
