摘要：In this article a conceptual model is formulated to develop an SDI orientated to the management of the Experiment Stations (ES) belonging to Venezuela’s agricultural research institutions. The model is based on both the Enterprise and Information viewpoints of the ISO Reference Model of Open Distributed Processing (RM-ODP). It was developed, for the indicated viewpoints, using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), as a specific application of SDI overall model proposed by Hjelmager et al. (2005). The proposed model contributes to understanding of the SDI purpose, scope, policies and environment, in the ES institutional framework. Also it contributes to the knowledge of the information semantics, type and structure needed in the SDI, as well as its flow inside the organizational structure. Equally, there were identified, in the first level of abstraction, the actors who take part in the SDI and the role that they play.
