摘要:A study in the importance of componentization, method of creating visibility and the development cycle of common components was conducted. Componentization is the first step in component-based design which aims at enterprise interoperability. Failure of interoperability is one of the top IT issues in this decade and results in enterprise misalignment and development silos. However in a component-based environment, enterprise interoperability can only be achieved by effective identification of common components for further development. The common component concept proposes that any business, service or technical components can become common in the industry if they are well defined, designed and aligned. This concept makes feasible standardization and reuse; the more we deploy common components in a prebuilt foundation, the higher compliance within the industry we will achieve. This strategy implies that common components will shorten the development lifecycle, improve quality and eliminate integration boundaries, and furthermore can facilitate common services across enterprise and geographical limitations into the industry main stream if further development can be provided.
