摘要：This is a study on "La busca de Averroes" of J. L. Borges, who repeat more once his ideas about an
universal library of different cultures. But Borges recognized the big difficult of this mission. The difficult
that Averroes finds when he was realizing the comment about Aristotle's Poetic, could be found also when
Borges wants to draw the history of Averroes, in Spain of XII century, using a few biographic notes. This
is a history of a text based in a literary theory and seen in another cultural context. That it’s, a history of a
polemic about the impossible literature theories. That have to insist in the fact of the reception of a text
equal than the meaning of context of his production. But, Borges points out that Aristotle's text had been
richer by Averroes's reading, and the text of Averroes was richer by the Borges's reading. The philosophy
of Totality is the principal base of this history.
