摘要:The following text is an interdisciplinary analysis about the silence and its paradoxical essence.
The rout presented takes, as reference points, the work of different authors related to literature
(Samuel Beckett), poetry (Stéphane Mallarmé, Paul Celan, César Simón), visual arts (Kasimir
Malevitch), music (John Cage) and philosophy (Heracleitus, Aristotle, Sor Juana Inés de la
Cruz, Nietzsche). Through these examples, it would be revealed the contradiction implicit in the
fact of having to betray silence while talking about it. However, the text argues that without
such a betrayal, silence cannot be read as such. The text finally suggests the possibility and
impossibility of the word as an instrument of knowledge and communication.
