摘要:Teachers' continuous formation has been generating new challenges for the public nets of education and for the universities. The universities are in charge of the consolidation of several projects of formation of staffs for the educational section that respond to the needs of the society. The public nets of Education are in charge of offering, among other aspects, conditions for personal and professional accomplishment of their teachers. Contributing to the study of that theme, preliminary results of the research with teachers of the Public Net of Duque de Caxias Municipality are reported. Such results indicate that the continuous formation cannot be conceived as a means of accumulation of knowledge and techniques. It should have as reference both a critical reflection on the practices and a permanent reconstruction of the teachers' personal and professional identity, with which they can be recognized in their processes of construction of professional autonomy.
