摘要：With the advent of corpora documenting learner English, a new and interesting
field of research has been opened. There are many aspects of English grammar
and discourse that can fruitfully be explored in learner corpora in order to shed
light on both practical and theoretical questions with applications in the teaching
of English at advanced levels. One such area is the progressive.
