摘要：On May 13th, 1833, in Carrancas, distric that belongs to the city of Sao Joao Del Rei, rebel slaves killed some members of the deputy Gabriel Francisco Junqueira’s family, generating panic in all the region. What are the reasons that lead them to rebel themselves, and what can we infer from it to explain the mechanism that guarantees the permanence and rupture of the status-quo between the relationship of slaves and masters are the purposes of this article, that intends to be critic regarding concepcions too schematics.
