摘要：Fernando de Noronha Archipelago is an isolated
group of volcanic islands located in the tropical
western South Atlantic Ocean, 345 km off the
north-eastern coast of Brazil. It consists of one
large island and 19 small adjacent islets totalling
26 km2 that represent the peaks of the Mid-
Atlantic Ridge (Maida and Ferreira 1997).
